Single Stick
(commonality in training)
Course Description: This course is designed to introduce students to the use of impact weapons. Proper body mechanics and how to strike with accuracy and power will be covered. Students will also learn how the different parts of the stick can be effectively used including the butt (punio) of the stick which is often underestimated. This course will also explore various techniques and how to transition from a counter to a disarm, to a lock and finally to a takedown.

Her talent is God given and she has excelled in the many arts she has studied. Graciela was my student and trained with me during the 70’s and 80’s. Since that time she has continued to grow and develop her own system of “shen chun do.”

Sifu Graciela Casillas is an amazing martial artist and instructor. I have been following her my whole career. Super talented, super versatile, she is the real deal. I can hardly wait to learn from her online curriculum. I know it will be fantastic.

I have had the privilege of knowing Graciela Casillas as a friend and training partner for over 30 years. I have always been impressed, not only in her teaching skills, but her diversified knowledge of the martial arts. Her fighting skills would rival most male tournament competitors and she is able to teach those unique abilities to her students. Her seminars and training camps have always been well attended and had high marks from very satisfied participants. Graciela is able to clearly separate competition training from the reality of street self-defense, which I feel is critical in today's stressed out society. Anyone having the opportunity to train with Graciela, will not only leave with a better understanding of the martial arts, but sharper fighting skills from their participation.
